Are you an expecting mum and would like to prepare for your postpartum recovery? Have you been pregnant and/or are a postpartum woman (whether recently or many years since giving birth)? Would you like to dive deeper into the postpartum recovery and care from a yogic perspective, whether for yourself or for working with others? Join us for this introductory workshop on postpartum yoga in which we will explore gentle and effective ways to reintroduce a mother to her new body, to rebuild the pelvic floor and stabilise the core, to manage diastasis recti, and to regain strength and flexibility of the body and mind. This is an excellent opportunity to go deeper into the exercises given in our weekly occurring postnatal yoga classes, as well as to become more familiar with postpartum integration.
On Saturday 2nd March, Amber will be offering a 2-hr workshop: Urban Ayurveda - a Modern Way to Experience an Ancient Science, as part of the launch of a new holistic centre, VedaYoga! During this introductory workshop, we will deep dive into the fundamentals of Ayurveda as viewed from a modern perspective, with emphasis on the 5-Elements. This introduction will be particularly useful for those wishing to gain insights into this ancient healing science, as well as to integrate Ayurvedic wisdom into their daily practices so as to create harmony within their inner and outer environments, living naturally and holistically.
This offering of yoga with Amber is specifically to empower mothers to find their inner and outer alignment, whether they are newly postpartum or if it's been many years since having their child. The magnificent birthing process puts tremendous stress on the female body that, in some instances, does not seem recoverable. Postnatal yoga, however, offers a gentle way to rebuild the pelvic floor, stabilise the core, close diastasic recti, flatten the mummy tummy and reestablish strength and flexibility of both body and mind. These classes integrate simple hatha yoga asanas with safe and intentional postnatal exercises, aimed at rehabilitating and empowering mothers to live in their vibrancy and totality.

Prenatal yoga is a unique yoga experience, incorporating yoga postures and breathing techniques to help you connect with your baby, alleviate discomforts, and lower stress levels. Expect to flow through a series of standing poses, followed by restorative floor work, designed to open and strengthen the muscles, which are essential for labour and postnatal recovery. Join a nurturing and positive community, all transitioning into the role of motherhood. All prenatal classes are taught by highly qualified prenatal yoga teachers.

Amber has the honor of serving as an adjunct faculty with one of her beloved teachers, Sofia Araujo, on this 5-Elements Yoga Teacher Training. This experience is a unique training that combines an in-depth anatomical and biomechanical understanding of yoga taught within the holistic framework of the 5 Element system of Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda and underpinned by the philosophy of Classical Yoga and Tantra. At the end of the course students leave having learned essential tools and life skills to enhance their health and through which they can inspire others.

Elemental Yoga is a unique system that integrates the wisdom of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hatha Yoga into a holistic lifestyle practice both on and off the mat. Elemental Yoga uses gentle, physical postures, mudras, visualisations and affirmations to bring harmony to the 5-elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Space) within the body and mind constitution by strengthening, stretching and supporting the correlating elemental meridians.

In this 2-hour workshop for mums-to-be, we will explore prenatal yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation guidance to cultivate our intuition, the inner voice that is essential for mindful birth preparation and the onward journey of motherhood.

In this Master Series Workshop at The Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali, we will dive deeper into the art of movement meditations, specifically using repetitive dance to find our centre. Working between the third and fourth energy centers, we will use the navel and heart, respectively, to open our inner centering channel, preparing for a powerful active meditation inspired by Osho and based on the heart-centered Sufi tradition.
