“I learned that every mortal will taste death.
But only some will taste life.“
― Rumi
How is it that a very natural part of life, which we are all promised to experience, remains the most mysterious, elusive and even feared? Death will surely come, at an unpredictable moment for each of us - yet to contemplate and befriend the idea of our immortality is considered taboo or confronting at best, for most people. If we follow the thread of our anxieties and worries, we may often realise that the fear of death exists behind our clinging, aversions and burdens we carry in this world. If we do not sit with the idea of death, we may never catch the misidentifications that we reside in, the ones that mask the reality of impermanence and who we are.
However if one were to lean into the ancient traditions, you will find mystics and great teachers sharing of the importance to meditate on death. In the Buddhist tradition, Maranasati (mindfulness of death) is a practice for remembering that death can come at anytime. In the Hindu traditions, mrtyu (death) meditations are practices that contemplate impermanence and the witnessing consciousness.
About the evening
On the evening of Sunday 29 October 2023, which interestingly falls the weekend before All Saints’ Day, we will mindfully journey together through a Mrytu Meditation practice that has been influenced by Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, Osho and the Elements. This meditation invites us to pass through death as a practice of letting go, deattachment and realisation of the ever-present Witness.
The evening will include a 1 hour guided meditation shared by Amber that, uniquely for this session, is supported with soul-touching live music by Shastro Rodella, who happens to be passing through Mallorca. We will journey through the art of dying using the 5-elements as a framework, as a means to birth into a more present & embodied form of living.
Note: No prior experience is necessary. This method is only based in love and gentleness, there are no fearful/dark visuals or words. At one point in the method, we will assume death has happened (as we will not see the actual process), and the meditation will continue through the different stages.

About Amber
As an Embodiment Facilitator, Amber loves to empower individuals to arrive home within themselves. A life journey of more than 25 years of study and practice in Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation, as well as a PhD in the Biomedical Sciences, have brought Amber into a unique path where scientific and ancient wisdoms merge together into a holistic journey of exploration. She first was introduced to a Mrytu Meditation in 2009 by one of her teachers, Maitreya, a sannyasin of Osho, and has since become a consistent part of her practice, evolving over time into the current offering. Amber and Shastro have enjoyed to offer this collaboration internationally through Europe.
